Infant/Toddler

Ages 12wks-2.9yrs

Our infant/toddler program is full of hands-on nurturing and playful activities that focus on all areas of development. Infants and toddlers at MBKA are constantly learning through exploration and connection. Our teachers engage infants with walks, songs, stories, painting, and sensory activities—following individualized schedules that support each child's unique rhythm. While one baby naps, another might be investigating the sensory table or enjoying a story.

Toddlers learn best through movement and sensory play. Their days are filled with circle time, art, math and science discovery, meals, naps, and plenty of outdoor play. Social skills like sharing, turn-taking, and using manners are woven into daily routines, along with music, dancing, and nature exploration to help them grow and thrive.

Preschool

Ages 2.9-6yrs

Our preschool program incorporates more advanced learning opportunities without sacrificing any fun. In this age group, we focus on social emotional growth as well as (eventual) kindergarten readiness. We learn how to work together and how to conquer objectives by ourselves. Preschooler’s practice their letter and number recognition and eventually learn to write their own names. We also continue to explore phonics and letter recognition, so we may eventually turn that knowledge into the ability to read. MBKA has a very strong literacy based curriculum with an extremely print rich classroom environment. Preschoolers count numbers, and work on learning the days of the week and months. We’re busily engaging in science, art, math, and language activities as well as leaving time for meals, circle time and our favorite: outside/gross motor play!
